My first career was as a licensed court reporter, capturing testimony word for word, and later as a family & community service counselor, helping families prearrange end-of-life decisions and walk through the threshold of hospice and loss with dignity and grace. Along the way, I built a career and love in the arts, trained as a Polynesian dancer across several island traditions, learning to speak with hands, and eventually realizing in “my more mature” years that I was praying thrice.
